"Live to Serve" in 2012

Welcome to one of the most positive places to go for real-time medical education. Whether you are healthy and bouncing around, or whether you are bed-ridden, this site is for you. The general public is especially invited to interact with and question/challenge issues of the day. A special regard is noted to Pre-medical students, Medical Students, Interns, Residents, and Fellows. Clinical care, bedside manner, and bench research integration back into clinical care is a prime focus.

Translational medicine is a newer concept that overlies the standard structure of teaching, research, and clinical care. Translational medicine moves toward clinical significance and changing the doctor's orders so that new research information and technology are applied to the patient.

We welcome your comments, questions, opinions, responses, and are here not just as a flat program on a computer screen. We hope to be interactive, intellectually stimulating, and to benefit what we are all here for: making this world a better place. Thank you for your support and your communications with us.

As 2012 begins, we raise our hand and wait for our turn in the Roberts' Rules of Order format. Once we are recognized, we promise not to dally and waste your time with political jargon or eloquent speech. We aim to point the arrow to the bullseye and we can only do this with YOU!

So Onward and Forward in 2012! Much appreciation to each and every one of our followers, and may we all see this Year move us closer together!

With Highest Personal Regards,

Margaret A. Ferrante, M.D.
